Three Days of Preparation
Room 7 of 13 · Level II · Adept · 6 min
The Key of Solomon asks you to prepare before working: mind, paper, place, bath and clothes. Here you turn it into three days of care.
What you practise
The Key's order of preparation (II.2) and a three-day purification.
The four steps, in text
- 1. Put each preparation in its box. Breathe and let go of the day → Mind · Sheet with your intention, day and hour → Paper · Quiet, tidy corner → Place · Shower with a handful of salt → Bath · Clean white cotton clothes → Clothes
- 2. Light the five preparations in the Key's order. 1 · Mind → 2 · Paper → 3 · Place → 4 · Bath → 5 · Clothes
- 3. Trace the Seal of Solomon hexagram. Two interlaced triangles: one pointing up and one pointing down.
- 4. Choose the moon to begin your purification. New moon, Waxing crescent, First quarter, Waxing gibbous, Full moon, Waning gibbous, Last quarter, Waning crescent
Safety
- Real candle: never leave it alone; put it on a ceramic or metal plate, away from curtains, paper, children and pets. Snuff it out before leaving the room. An LED candle works just as well.
- Do not swallow the salt, the ritual water, plants or oils. Nothing in this room goes on your skin.
- Your intention is about you. Nothing to harm, control or bind another person.
- Salt only in bath or shower water, external use; don't use it on wounds, eczema or irritated skin.
- "Moderation" means eating and resting calmly, not fasting: don't stop eating or change your medication.
🕯️ Candle out · complete a mission to light it
The streak candle is only an on-screen element. If a room suggests a real candle, follow its safety rules.
Fun fact
The Key asks for nine days of moderation (II.4) and in another passage "at least three days" (II.2); here we use three.
