The Threshold
Dreaming of a bridge: meaning and interpretation
The passage between two shores
A concrete transition: you are no longer on one side and not yet on the other.
Symbolic reading
The bridge is a decision with a body. Looking at the void below is measuring the risk of change. Crossing halfway, or having it break, shows a transition begun without enough support. The other shore does not have to be glorious: it has to be livable.
Jungian key
Threshold symbols mark the moment when libido leaves one attitude and has not yet embodied the next. Staying on the bridge is a way of not choosing.
Take the step you already know. The new shore is defined when you set foot on it, not when you imagine it.
