The Shadow
Dream About Being Chased
What runs behind the ego
A refused content that gains speed the more you flee.
Symbolic reading
The pursuer is almost never a complete stranger. It is a trait, a desire, or a truth the ego declared an enemy. Running speeds the dream. Turning your face — even for an instant — changes the genre: from hunt to encounter.
Jungian key
The pursuing shadow insists because it was split off, not because it is evil. What is not looked at organizes itself as a threat. Dialogue, not flight, is the analytic gesture.
Turn around just once. Ask the name of whoever follows you before you keep running.
